Bad Kleinkirchheim Golf Club

Tee off and well-being .........

is the slogan under which the GC Bad Kleinkirchheim welcomes its guests and members.
On gentle peaks and in the midst of enchanted forests lies Carinthia's highest golf course, which promises the finest golf enjoyment even in midsummer thanks to its pleasant climate. Already since 1984 the traditional course attracts golf lovers who are looking for something special.
An old mill welcomes visitors to the 18-hole course with a lot of flair before it goes on the 8-loop. The practice area with a 6-hole course is quiet and protected, so that even beginners can try their first turns undisturbed. Golf professionals can expect varied fairways in Bad Kleinkirchheim for challenging rounds that still offer challenges even after repeated games.

From April to October Carinthia offers the best conditions for passionate golfers. The sun-kissed Bad Kleinkirchheim in the Nock Mountains scores with golf lovers from spring to late autumn. Because when it is oppressively hot or wet elsewhere, the high altitude and mild climate of the region come into play here at the Bad Kleinkirchheim Golf Club. Look forward to enjoyable golf days on an extraordinary, perfectly manicured area with breathtaking views!

Fascinating nature in 3 countries and the multi-faceted, delicious Alps-Adriatic cuisine. This will make your stay an unforgettable golfing experience.

Characteristics of the golf course

The course in Bad Kleinkirchheim is 1100 meters above sea level, very spectacular in the Carinthian Nock Mountains. With its length of almost 6000 meters, the course is a challenge for all handicap classes. The British course designer Donald Harradine can still be congratulated on his successful design work. Experience alpine golf with narrow fairways, different terrain levels and water hazards that can only be mastered successfully with a strategic game of golf. In addition to the championship course, there is also the Wiedweg training facility with its own 6-hole course. Here you will also find Jim Bray's golf school.
Bad Kleinkirchheim is the home ground of Franz Klammer. Loch 5 runs parallel to the target shot of the Franz Klammer K70 downhill, where the Kaiser won his first European Cup race.

The golf course is elongated in a west - east orientation. The front nine form a loop towards Bad Kleinkirchheim. The second nine lead through a forest downhill towards Patergassen and back up to the clubhouse. Holes 1 -9 and 12 -16 are in the open area surrounded by groups of trees, small barns and biotopes. Holes 10,11, 17, 18 and XNUMX are in the woods and should you miss precision, you will be penalized with the loss of the ball.
Due to the shadowy location of some of the tee boxes, it should be mentioned that you tee off from mats, but this in no way reduces the attractiveness of the Bad Kleinkirchheim golf course.

Club restaurant

The restaurant on the golf course invites golfers such as hikers, interested and connoisseurs to see, taste and relax. From the large panoramic terrace you can not only follow the hustle and bustle of the golf course at close range, but also pleasant hours of sunshine and an unobstructed view over large parts of the golf course, Bad Kleinkirchheim as well as Kaiserburg and Mallnock. Especially at tournaments these box seats are in high demand.

On balmy summer evenings you can enjoy the best view of the atmospheric sunset in the Nockberge, not only for romantics and lovers a memorable sight. The consistently warm kitchen conjures up daily down-to-earth dishes with a certain extra, mainly from seasonal products of the region - in this form unique in Bad Kleinkirchheim.
