... which fascinates every visitor and encourages them to come back. What started with a 9-hole system in the year 1995 and already 1998 was expanded to the full-fledged 18-hole course, today counts with the 18-Loch Championship Course and the 9-Loch Wallerbach Course to the most beautiful golf courses in Europe. Built in an area that was already a classic summer resort during the Monarchy. A place to feel good, away from the stress, bustle and noise of the big city, where our members and guests find the necessary distance to the everyday stress and exercise their hobby golf in peace.
It takes three essential ingredients to make a fabulous golf course. A spectacular environment - as well as the challenging multi-faceted hills in the Lower Austrian Alpine foothills. The right golf architect - such as the creative Canadian Jeff Howes, the right hand of Jack Nicklaus. And an ambitious driving force behind the project - like Franz Wittmann, the former Austrian world-class rally driver. He was already known during his sporting career for leaving nothing to chance, and that's why the result stands alone.
The Adamstal Golf Club is one of the most spectacular golf courses in Europe, with a great design and immaculately maintained.
The varied design is captivating and can compete with any golf course in the world. It is definitely no coincidence that the Golfclub Adamstal was voted Austria's golf course of the year five times. The condition of the demanding place with the fast greens is perfect all year round. The many narrow fairways, where you ask at the tee, how should I meet this and the spectacular layout amidst alpine scenery, make this golf course to a special experience.
Look forward to an exciting round of golf at the Adamstal Golf Club. But do not forget to look and listen, then you will experience an adventure full of pleasure and joy that will make you return home with a sense of satisfaction at the end of the day.
A truly athletic challenge is the "Championship Course". This course has been played several times by the professionals of the European Challange Tour, who also noted that the course is unique but also not that easy to play. The course remains fair, thanks to the up to five discounts per hole. This allows golfers of all levels to play the course fairly. Another highlight is that both Champoionship-Course and the Course Wallerbach, completely e-cart are fit.
Quote Club President Franz Wittmann: "A golf course like ours in the Adamstal, there is hardly the world a second time. But not only our international guests are thrilled. A round in the Adamstal is certainly a unique experience that you will never forget "
Designer of the Course Wallerbach is the Canadian Jeff Howes, a student of Jack Nicklaus, who has solved his task perfectly. The fairways five to nine, which accompany the Wallerbach, Howes has fit into the landscape with stunning imagination. Very often, small courses that form part of an 18 Loch Championship Course are seen as a training ground or alternative. This is not the case at the Adamstal Golf Club. Franz Wittmann attaches great importance to the fact that the Wallerbach course has the same standard of care as its Big Brother, because the members like to play this course very much. The golf course and the nature are one and at the latest on the second round, the two can no longer be distinguished.
Since the year 2016, the restaurant "Golf and pleasure in the Adamstal" is under the direction of Claus Curn and Gerald Kaiper, the former chef and cooks varied and high-quality food creations, with products from the region.
