... which fascinates every visitor and encourages them to come back. What started with a 9-hole system in the year 1995 and already 1998 was expanded to the full-fledged 18-hole course, today counts with the 18-Loch Championship Course and the 9-Loch Wallerbach Course to the most beautiful golf courses in Europe. Built in an area that was already a classic summer resort during the Monarchy. A place to feel good, away from the stress, bustle and noise of the big city, where our members and guests find the necessary distance to the everyday stress and exercise their hobby golf in peace.
It takes three essential ingredients to make a fabulous golf course. A spectacular environment - as well as the challenging multi-faceted hills in the Lower Austrian Alpine foothills. The right golf architect - such as the creative Canadian Jeff Howes, the right hand of Jack Nicklaus. And an ambitious driving force behind the project - like Franz Wittmann, the former Austrian world-class rally driver. He was already known during his sporting career for leaving nothing to chance, and that's why the result stands alone.
The Adamstal Golf Club is one of the most spectacular golf courses in Europe, with a great design and immaculately maintained.
The varied design is impressive and can compete with any golf course in the world. It is definitely no coincidence that the Adamstal Golf Club has been named golf course of the year in Austria five times. The condition of the demanding course with the fast greens is perfect all year round. The many narrow fairways, where you ask yourself on the tee, how should I hit it and the spectacular layout in the middle of an alpine landscape, make this golf course a top-class experience.
Look forward to an exciting round of golf at the Adamstal Golf Club. But don't forget to look and listen, then you will experience an adventure full of lust and joy that at the end of the day will leave you feeling satisfied.
A truly athletic challenge is the "Championship Course". This course has been played several times by the professionals of the European Challange Tour, who also noted that the course is unique but also not that easy to play. The course remains fair, thanks to the up to five discounts per hole. This allows golfers of all levels to play the course fairly. Another highlight is that both Champoionship-Course and the Course Wallerbach, completely e-cart are fit.
Quote Club President Franz Wittmann: "A golf course like ours in the Adamstal, there is hardly the world a second time. But not only our international guests are thrilled. A round in the Adamstal is certainly a unique experience that you will never forget "
The designer of the Course Wallerbach is the Canadian Jeff Howes, a student of Jack Nicklaus, who did his job perfectly. Howes has fitted the holes five to nine that accompany the Wallerbach into the landscape with astonishing imagination. Very often small courses that form a facility with an 18-hole championship course are seen as a training course or alternative. This is not the case at the Adamstal Golf Club, Franz Wittmann attaches great importance to the fact that the Wallerbach course has the same standard of care as its big brother, because members like this course very much. The golf course and nature become one and by the second round at the latest the two can no longer be distinguished.
The restaurant "Golf und Genuss im Adamstal" has been under the management of Claus Curn and Gerald Kaiper since 2016. The former is a gourmet chef and cooks varied and high-quality food creations with products from the region.
